DENSO Philippines Corporation conducts tree planting in MMFR

On 30 September 2017, DENSO Philippines Corporation (DNPH) conducted tree planting at So. Malalim na San-og, Brgy. Sta. Elena, Sto. Tomas, Batangas. This is in line with their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program. About 100 employees of DNPH attended the tree planting led by its President, Mr. Yuji Yamamoto.

A total of 2,000 endemic and indigenous forest tree seedlings of different species namely: Arangen [Ganophyllum falcatum), Banuyo (Wallaceodendron celebicum Koord.), Betis (Madhuca betis (Blanco) Macbr. & Merr., Guijo [Shorea guiso (Blanco) Blume], Kalantas (Toona calantas Merr. & Rolfe), Kalimatas [Phaeanthus ebracteolatus (Presl.) Merr.], Kalumpit (Terminalia microcarpa Decne. subsp. Microcarpa), Kamagong (Diospyros blancoi A. DC.), Lamog (Planchonia spectabilis Merr.), Lipote [Syzgium polycephaloides (C.B. rox) Merr.], Makaasim (Syzygium nitidum Benth.), Malaipil (Afzelia borneensis Harris), Putian [Alangium javanicum (Blume) Wangerin] and Toog (Petersianthus quadrialatus Merr.) were planted.

The activity is in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement between DNPH and the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (MCME) through the University of the Philippines Foundation, Inc. (UPLBFI) for the Corporate Partnership for Environmental Restoration Program in Mount Makiling Forest Reserve ASEAN Heritage Park (MMFR AHP).
